“In the beginning”
One of the best things in life is getting the opportunity to begin something
new. Whether it is the first day of a new school, or the start of a new job, or the
first year of a marriage or the first moments of being a parent or a grandparent,
many of the feelings are the same. There is a lot of joy and excitement about the
possibilities, mixed with some terror about the unknown.
As followers of Christ, we can begin each new endeavor without fear
because of the first four words of the Bible, “In the beginning, God . . .” The most
amazing part of that phrase is the fourth word, “God.” Before even time began,
God already was! He goes out before everything we set out to do, like the pillar
of fire and pillar of cloud that directed and protected the Israelites. Our faith in thefact that God is wherever we go, gives us the confidence to do anything He calls
us to.The days, weeks, months, and years ahead of us are still unknown to us.
There are many difficult challenges ahead if we are to have a significant impact
on those in our community that need Christ. But this is why God has brought us
here to this place in the world at this time in history, and He already knows what
He wants us to do. We are the right people for the job and just need to be faithful
in doing the work He has prepared for us.On a personal note, on behalf of our whole family I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has welcomed us and helped us throughout our move from Florida to Tennessee. We praise God for all of you
and the opportunity He has given us to begin to know, love, and serve you in the
beautiful corner of His creation. I cannot wait to see what God is going to do.
In Christ,
Andy Frazier
