Aaron Stamper Preaching Scholarship and other updates...

Well, as so often is the case modern technology has me locked out of the Church email account of which I will handle upon my return...this couldnt have happened at a more inopportune time as I could have sent out emails to the Broadcaster E'list, but no.

I received an email from Tim Stamper and in lieu of flowers for Aaron, a preaching scholarship has been set up in Aarons name and contributions can be sent to:

First Christian Church
307 South Main Ave
Erwin, TN 37650

Earmarked: "Aaron Stamper Preaching Scholarship"

Tim also sent the obituary that was written up for Aaron which you will see below.

Timothy Aaron Stamper, formerly of Olive Hill, KY died Friday June 4, 2010 at his home in Erwin, TN after a lengthy battle with cancer. Aaron was born February 16, 1996 in Lexington, KY. He is the son of Tim and Sandi Stamper presently of Erwin, TN where Tim is minister of First Christian Church. He was an 8th grader at Unicoi County High School, and a player for Unicoi County Football Team. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Sandi Stamper of Erwin, TN; one sister Andrea Stamper of Erwin, TN; his paternal grandparents Donald Ray and Lois Stamper of Johnson City, TN; maternal grandmother Virginia Henderson of Mechanicstown, OH. Several aunts, uncles and cousins in KY, TN and OH. Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, KY will be handling the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday June 8th from 6-9pm. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2pm at First Church of Christ 287 Pomeroy St in Grayson, KY.

We continue to lift the Stampers and the entire family up in prayer, and wish them God Speed during all of the travel.

YOUTH MINISTER
I will take this opportunity to introduce Andy Frazier as our new youth minister - it is a pleasure to have you on board.
Andy's wife is Kim and they have two children, Hannah age 4 and Noah age 2, I think I have the ages correct!
They've moved up from Florida and are staying with Kim's folks in Mtn. City at the moment. Andy will be around for a bit but has some loose ends to tie up in FL. He will be back and hopefully moved into the refurbished youth parsonage by June 21st.
So on behalf of FCC, WELCOME!!
